For several months groups of workers under the control of Cheshire Probation Area have been carrying out a variety of tasks at Bickley Hall Farm, near Malpas, the headquarters of Cheshire Wildlife Trust.

As many of our members will already know, a pair of peregrine falcons have been successfully nesting and breeding at Beeston Castle for many years.

To ensure that these magnificent birds can raise their chicks without disturbance from curious members of the public or egg collectors, a group of dedicated volunteers keep watch on the nest 24 hours a day, 7 days a week throughout the breeding season.
